Essential Job Functions
An OT Supervisor I directs and oversees the performance of those supervised, including but not limited to:
  • Providing in-services to Medical Therapy Program (MTP) personnel on how to perform administrative and case management assignments
  • Supervising/coordinating/providing/ participating in training of in-service trainees, staff and others
  • Assessing staff needs and providing an opportunity for personal and technical growth and assisting with the training and evaluation of therapy personnel
  • Assuming an active leadership role to ensure compliance of state mandates and efficient functioning of Medical Therapy Units (MTUs) by providing guidance as needed and ensuring compliance with policies and procedures, Employee Guidelines, and other guidelines established by the MTP
  • Coordinating with MTP Director, Supervisor Therapist lls, and others to develop/maintain Quality Assurance and Continuous Quality Improvement projects.

Requirements

MUST CURRENTLY BE A PERMANENT LOS ANGELES COUNTY EMPLOYEE WHO HOLDS THE PAYROLL TITLE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY SUPERVISOR.

License:
  • A License issued by the California Board of Occupational Therapy as an OT.

DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Ability to work with all levels of staff and diverse agencies
  • Ability to work independently and as a team
  • Excellent organizational skills
