Job Description

The Business Analyst helps the Enterprise Technology Department and its partners to transform ideas for improvement into business value through research, analysis, and projects. The analyst will help implement and continuously improve consulting and project management processes, standards, and templates for Enterprise Technology, and provide expertise on these things to its partners. The analyst is a generalist with knowledge of business principles, information technology, and analytical techniques.

  • Providing administrative support
  • Planning and estimating
  • Managing schedules, budgets, quality, risks, issues

  • Creating documentation and managing knowledge transfer

  • Helping to setup service and support
    • Tracking status and performance against scope, schedule, and cost baselines as well as resource and time utilization

  • Help prioritize projects using an established framework
  • Track reference information from which to determine best practices, contributors to success, candidates to lead future projects
  • Help ensure standardization/consistency in practices (use of best practices and templates)

  • Help manage interfaces, dependencies, releases between projects
  • Help create processes, standards, or templates for consulting, business analysis, and project management
  • Conduct research and analysis as needed to support Enterprise Technology goals and functions
  • Prepare and deliver written and oral reports and presentations
  • Help prepare grant applications and coordinate grant compliance
  • Assist with budget preparation and other administrative functions

Educational requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent relevant experience) in business, technology, or a related discipline
  • Experience in consulting, business analysis, and project management (preferred)
